O'Brien Music Academy

Our Mission
To make the most unique and focused learning plan for each student.

Our Story
We opened doors on the 1st of August in 2020. When we opened we only offered private lessons in Guitar, Voice, Cello, and Music Theory, as well as Background Music for events and Instrument Repair. Cameron O'Brien, the founder and teacher for the O'Brien Music Academy, had the knowledge and experience to teach much more. So, after refining the few instruments we offered, Mr. O'Brien set out to expand our services to include Flute, Clarinet, and dividing the guitar into 3 main categories; Classical, Acoustic, and Electric Guitar. We also successfully offer our Musical Rehabilitation Package, something Mr. O'Brien is very passionate about. After this expanse, we experienced an incredible surge of students and were able to achieve offering lessons 7 days a week.
Cameron O'Brien is a multi-instrumentalist who has studied 5 instruments in Cambrian college, Majoring in Guitar and Cello, over 2 programs achieving advanced diplomas. He specializes in tailoring different teaching strategies to create the best learning exercises and curriculum for each student; improving form, ergonomics, and technique on your instrument; high level harmonic and historic interpretation of music.
During his time at Cambrian, he ran promotion tours for the school, advertising the college's music program. He participated in the Guitar Alla Grande Annual performances where he performed in their guitar orchestra, with his trio and his own solo slot. In the summers, he competed in the Kiwanis Music Festival for 3 years, earning the silver medal for the province in each. His last performance was with Timmothy Phelan and his guitar orchestra in Niagra Falls.
After college, he opened a Music Academy where he currently teaches and continues to build his instrument and theory knowledge. He also resides on the board of directors for the Sudbury Youth Orchestra.
